Sponsorship program: The 183d Wing Sponsorship Program ask directed by 183 FW INSTRUCTION 36-2607 defines that each member will be assigned a sponsor normally from the same section as the recruit. The Sponsors responsibilities are to ensure the member is familiar not only with the base operations, but also the sections operations. Ideally each recruit would be able to shadow their sponsor each drill; however, due to the unique mission of the 183d ACOS, this can hinder the drill training schedule. In order to maintain the drill training schedule and meet the intent of the sponsor program, the ACOS will need to establish a training schedule in which to foster a welcoming environment for new members prior to their receiving a security clearance. …show more content…
It is the squadrons responsibility to ensure these members are engaged. The training schedule must account for this requirement every month. The recruits time will be schedules as following: 0900 – 0915 Recruits arrive: When possible, a member of the ACOS should meet the recruits in P-23 and escort them to p-16. This is particularly important the members first drill where the member is taught wat to do the following drills prior to enlistment. A member of the Commanders Support staff will greet recruits, and notify section responsible to train that month f their arrival. 0915 – 1030 Orientation/Training: The assigned member will work with recruits. They will establish what the recruits know about the ACOS and their mission, discuss the organizational chart and then discuss what their section does to support the mission. Ideally this member will be a junior enlisted member who can take this time to get to know the recruits as their new peers. This is an opportunity for junior enlisted members to develop their leadership and mentorship skills. Section supervisors need to recognize that this is as an opportunity for their members to learn as well as a way to welcome our new
This is usually done during the induction/training program of joining the army. During this period the instructors beast the initiates and build them up as a team so they can co-operate efficiently in the line of duty. Also with them being built up as a team and working everyday side by side there is less chance of them fighting amongst each other so order will be maintained.
As a future leader, I would like you to conduct Physical Readiness Training, Preparation Drills and Recovery Drills for the platoon. Take time to come up with training for the section. Example teach a class on how to lay a quadrant for fire missions.
In 1973, the Army (and the noncommissioned officer corps) was in turmoil. Of the post-Vietnam developments in American military policy, the most influential in shaping the Army was the advent of the Modern Volunteer Army. With the inception of the Noncommissioned Officer Candidate Course, many young sergeants were not the skilled trainers of the past and were only trained to perform a specific job; squad leaders in

As the junior class being welcomed with open arms into the 131A cohort, it shows the professionalism that we share as a group. The Army Staff senior warrant officer (ARSTAF SWO) visiting Fort Sill showed that we are important to the cohort that will set the attitude for our future endeavors. Having the opportunity to be mentored by the advance course is a great benefit to
Furthermore, each unit is required to balance tasks and benchmarks selected by their respective Adjutants General along with those prescribed by First Army. Generally, deploying units undergo four to eight weeks of medical, administrative, and classroom preparation on top of technical and tactical skill refresher training spanning the year prior to mobilization.
This would be conducted during the respective teams drill weekend. Saturday would be on the job training conducting Port State control inspections and facility transfer monitors or security spot checks. Sunday would be more on the job training but with a half day of classroom training for PQS and enlisted rating PQS items. The additional challenge is not every member is in need of the same qualification, nor are they the same rank. Some are third class petty officer, second class petty officers, and first class petty officers. This more of a minor inconvenience, one that is solved by having qualified members conduct training simultaneously while I drill with the respective team.
For the implementation phase of this we will have classroom training and On the Job Training (OJT) to deliver the new training to the officers within the BUD/S class. The first class will target mission planning, teaching the officers how to use the Military Decision Making Process (MDMP) and the Observe Orient Decide Action (OODA) Loop process of thinking. After the classes we will have the officers develop the dive operations planning and build the brief that will be presented to the second phase Officer in Charge (OIC) on all dives during the Final Training Exercise week. The next portion will have them doing the same thing during third phase for conducting patrols, ambushes, and target assaults, again having them focus on planning and building the brief that will be presented to the OIC.
