Tsien Situational Analysis Dale Wishewan is the president, co-founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of Booster Juice who led the company since its first location in Canada. In 2009, he decided to expand into the Indian market and his overall goal was to have Booster Juice stores across India. Additionally, Wishewan’s mission for Booster Juice is “to provide customers with an incredible, healthy alternative to fast food that’s great tasting, convenient and nutritious making it perfectly suited for today’s active lifestyle.” (Pg. 3) The situational analysis consists of the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. Booster Juice Strengths First, the strengths are that the overall design, “the creation of the smoothie and juice names, and distribution, was done with multiple stores as the goal.” (Pg. 2) This business model differentiates them from the competition because instead of offering the same flavors, juice names, design, and distribution to all of the locations it is determined by a section of stores rather than the entire market. This tactic allows their business model to be targeted for a specific demographic depending on the external environment. Moreover, in order to be considered a (potential) franchise owner Wishewan requires a net worth of $350,000, liquid assets of $100,000 and a franchise agreement of 10 years.
