According to Nicole Fallon of the Business News Daily, a SWOT analysis is an analytical framework that can help any company face its greatest challenges and find its most promising new markets, by identifying the organization’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (2017). It allows for an extensive evaluation of the company’s internal and external resources as well as current and future threats that the company may face. This medical facility has several other satellite facilities located across the state of Ohio and Florida. The main facility is the home to an outstanding medical school, research institution and outpatient clinic. Other specialties include but are not limited to cardiology, endocrinology, urology, OB/GYN, orthopedics, rheumatology, nephrology, pulmonary, pediatric care, cancer care and optometry just to name a few. The Cleveland Clinic strives on dedicating its medical services and expertise to their surrounding communities. They are able to do so by performing periodic assessments to evaluate the medical needs of the communities in question and are then able to base their services around these findings. According to myclevelandclinic.org, the Cleveland Clinic was established in 1921 with the same mission that continues today: “Better care for the sick, investigation of their problems and education of those who serve.” Consistent with its mission statement, the Cleveland Clinic’s activities are patient care provided on a charitable basis, medical research, and education of both medical professionals and the community (2017). As stated in the mission statement above, the Cleveland Clinic strives on providing exceptional patient care through medical research.
