Edmond, which is one of the larger cities in the state of Oklahoma, had an approximate population of 88,605 in 2014 according to US department of commerce. A windshield survey was conducted by a group of UCO Nursing students in Edmond around the boundaries of Coltrane, Danforth, 15th street, Santa Fe and 2nd street. The survey was to collect information and observations on various social determinant subjects within the confines of the geographical area. The areas of interest included commercial, functional, education, medical, leisure, faith-based facilities, infrastructure, physical barriers and housing. It was observed there are a large number of gas stations in the area. It can be concluded that there is a demand for gas and the various amenities that carter for personal transportation. In direct correlation to that, there is a relatively adequate number of auto repair shops. In terms of public transportation, Edmond is lacking since there were several bus stops but no buses at any of the stations during the time of observation. There is one major university and 4 schools. The standard of education is high and the demand and need for education is unexceptionally met in the area. There are no vocational, technical schools or specialty school. This could have a pendulum effect. The positive: the number of schools observed within the area shows that the children are getting education and those who decide to go to college can easily do that in the comfort of the area. The
