As they realized this necessity, they also realized that the key to growth and development is, indeed, education. Despite the various resources like petroleum, natural gas, phosphate, and sulfur located in Iraq, their economy is established mainly on oil. Founded on May 26, 1981, GCC aimed to promote coordination between its member states.3 In 2003, approximately four million people lived in the UAE, with about one quarter residing in Dubai (835,000 men and 369,000 women).4 This population was predominantly not indigenous as 60% hailed from Asia, 15% came from other Arab countries, and 5% were from Europe. All key positions in the Dubai government however were occupied by members of a ruling family—their authority unchallenged by political parties or universal suffrage.5 While the ruling family tolerated non-Muslim religions, the preaching of any expression of religion other than Islam was forbidden as was the formation of trade unions.

Most countries affected by the civil wars have been cut off from any regional connections therefore they weren’t able to attract many of their regular customers. The UAE has taken that to their advantage by reeling in the customers who would normally shop in Egypt, Syria, Tunisia, Libya and Yemen and give them the opportunity to shop in places in the UAE instead of in a dangerous country. This has led to a 10% rise in spending by shoppers affected by the Arab Spring. The United Arab Emirates is known as a modern country with a stable government system that the public seems to respect. Governments from different countries such as Syria have shut down Internet and power connections to avoid the world to see the troublesome county. Because of these barricades, countries such as the United States and England have been keeping a close eye, especially since they cannot export and import products between countries. Perhaps the Middle East would’ve been better off without the Arab Spring.

The city of Dubai is known as one of the wealthiest cities among other Middle Eastern cities although it is the smallest in term of area; however, Dubai has several unique things that feature the city to be better than other cities. Dubai has a magnificent location, the ability to expand to twice its size, and the major port in the Middle East area.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is currently facing one of the greatest challenges since its founding in 1932. With the Iranian influence spreading across the Middle East, the Saudi response to the war in Syria is only one of many interconnected battles against Tehran. They must balance their desire to see Assad fall with the need to silence the religious message emanating from Isis, as both of these threaten their political system and way of life. This challenge is all the more complicated by the falling price of oil and the wavering support of the United States. The reluctance of the Americans to get overly involved will leave it up to the Saudis to provide air support, and help fund and train their Arab allies in their fight against Assad and the Iranians beyond the borders of Syria. Meanwhile, with their largest historic budget deficit looming, it has yet to be seen if this will be possible.

However, there is a note on the source that states the United Nations (UN) estimated the country’s population 9,400,145 as of mid-year 2017 with immigrants taking up about 80% of the population. The last reported population growth was at 2.4% (est. 2017) translating to approximately 145,000 new net residents per year based on UN’s estimated population of the country. The United States of America has an important participation in this endeavor.Different beliefs, opinions, and views from people inside and outside the United Arab Emiratesabound regarding the matter involving free speech, media, and trademark laws in the country. The foundation and goal that was set by the UAE government in creating these laws resulted in the similarities and differences of the perspectives of the society. The events in UAE have considerable effect in the American economy due to the economic ties between the two countries.

Abu Dhabi is the capital city of the United Arab Emirates, a country located on the southeastern tip of the Arabian Peninsula, straddling the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman, which leads to the Arabian Sea (see Map 1 above). With a population of roughly 1.6 million, Abu Dhabi is the second most populous city in the country, after Dubai.
