1. Understand the different views on the nature of mental well-being and Mental health and the factors that may influence both across lifespan:
It is a well known fact, that everyone is one of kind unique if you like. There for there will be always different views on this as well as other matters. ( diet, fitness ect)
while " this and that " is working for some, it may not work for the other. However there is a basic so called skeleton form which we can build up what is the best for the individual.
Mental well-being can be very unstable thing and it can be tipped either way at any time by trauma or excitement.

In quantum physics as well as in various ancient civilisation there was/ is believe that all is corrected including people. It my my believe, that it is really so. We all creating each other reality as well as improving/ destroying one to another ( helping or acting badly in order to make a harm)
Small thing, action or word can have huge positive or negative impact on us.

An individual can take steps to promote their mental well-being and mental health. These steps could be social connections, being active, learning and developing themselves, social involvement and self awareness. Connecting with other people and developing relationships are important for an individual’s mental well-being. Staying active can help maintain a positive mental state. Learning new skills can create a sense of achievement and improve self esteem. Involvement in the local community or other social groups can develop strong social inclusion encouraging mental well-being. Being aware of own feelings and emotional state means an individual can maintain their mental well-being.
The following essay will begin by demonstrating what is understood by the concept of mental health. It will attempt to identify different explanations for the underlying issues causing mental illnesses and it will then centre around a case study focusing specifically on one mental health problem. A description of what the causes and effects of the chosen illness will be given and information on the available treatment will be presented. To round up the assignment a brief explanation of the chosen case study will be included with an attempt to distinguish the common issues identified and how they relate to the literature information provided throughout. In this assignment, the case study chosen will target depression.

Basic Assumptions: Each individual has the innate desire to live a meaningful life. Psychology is heavily focused on fixing what is wrong with an individual when there is a mental or emotional breakdown. However, people are endowed with strengths and core values that if nourished can lead to personal well-being and feelings of fulfilment. Lives can be more productive if a greater interest is placed on building a person’s strengths than on correcting the weaknesses.
The concept of resilience is a characteristic brought upon individuals when they are followed by adversity. The concept is based on an understanding that individuals develop resilient behaviours to assist in coping followed by adversity. However there are many differing theories between researchers on how resilience is developed or brought upon an individual. Within the early studies children were the main focus of the research. This was to understand how problems during childhood could be prevented and identify how to improve the concept of resilience. Mental health interferes with all aspects of well-being because if one aspect of well-being is weak then the rest have to be very strong but usually when emotional and mental well-being is weak, the social, physical and spiritual well-being is being affected. The chances of being successful in society, even with a mental health condition, is higher if you have running water, income, a roof over your head, don’t do drugs or drink etc. This is because the other aspects of well-being are very strong and can support the weak aspect of well-being. By having all 4 dimensions (social, emotional and mental, physical and spiritual) hauora will be strengthened and an over-all healthy person which is well balanced will be present.
