The employees and officials of the establishment in Philippines were not spared from the attack by the agents of the NBI anti-fraud division in a call center-like set up, the NBI agents handed over those who according to them were allegedly involved in –o-n-l-i-n-e- -n-e-t- -s-h-a-m-i-n-g-, this is said to be the calling and texting those who can't pay their debts on the online app and even people who didn't borrow but are in the contacts of those who took loans

 

: very disturbing, imagine there is a text message saying "I know where your husband works, and where your children study, we will take pictures, and if you don't pay you know what will happen to them ”. And even there where saying that we will burn your house

The NBI also discovered why victims of online lending apps seem to be harassed

 : the information that is actually in the possession of this online lending app are actually being shared as well with other online lending, that's why many people are surprised "I didn't borrow from this company how come I’m receiving text messages from this lending company"

The three suspects identified as Ann, Kyle and Gerald, who are officials of the alleged lending app, were arrested. Apart from the three arrested, they are not the only ones to be charged including the owners. They will be charged with violation of section 25 of the data privacy act in relation to cyber-crime prevention act.

O-n-l-i-n-e- -n-e-t- -h-a-r-m-i-n-g  is one of the complaints with the most complaints received by the NBI.
