The blood groups are genetic, majorly there are four blood groups A, B, AB and O. They depend on the antigens of red blood cells which are proteins present on the surface of the cell that recognizes the immune system of the body. The cell starts destructing the antibodies if the antigens are not identified as self in the immune system.
