Introduction:
Antibiotic is a composite term that contains two words, anti that means against and biotic that means life. Antibiotics are used to kill infectious bacteria that are present inside the host organism, like humans or other mammals. Different antibiotics target different structures of bacteria in order to kill them. For example, penicillin attacks the cell wall of bacteria whereas streptomycin inhibits protein synthesis.
