Introduction
This report will demonstrate my understanding of the knowledge, skills and behaviour required to be an effective HR practitioner, knowing how to deliver timely and effective HR services to meet users needs. Reflecting on my own practice and development needs and maintaining a plan for my own personal development.

I continually ensure the advice I give to managers and employees is of high quality, consistent and delivered in a customer focused way across the full range of employment policies. I provide line management coaching and support on employment issues where appropriate. I also provide proactive support and solutions to complex Employee Relations matters such as re-organisations explaining the rational behind the changes to the employee, issuing new contracts and providing input into complex compensation proposals and decisions. I am responsible and accountable for all aspects of HR within my organisation and through my experience I have built strong employee relations skills with the demonstrable experience to manage complex HR issues.
Effective Communication
Effective communication in my role plays a hugely important role. Deciding which form of the 3 forms of communication, verbal, non verbal and written communication is critical to get the desired outcome I require which is to ensure the message is received and fully understood.
Most of my verbal communication is face to face interaction with the internal and external stakeholders. This enables me to quickly connect and build rapport, gain influence and to receive instant feedback. In analyzing the concepts discussed in Human Resource Management, I have found an interesting mix of education and forethought into the role of a human resource manager. Many of the aspect of human resource management such as HR planning, recruitment and selection, as well as, human resources development and labor relations all play a significant role in the success of any organization. The intend of this paper is to reflect upon my learning experience and feeling in taking the assessment test for Professionals In Human Resources or Senior Professional in Human Resources. The primary goal of this assessment was to assess my knowledge and capabilities pertaining to HR. In addition, it explores potential questions that might be asked on a certification exam. Although I scored adequately 58 out of 70, the assessment revealed some interesting things about how courses build on one another and my career choice as a HR professional.
The report will discuss the CIPD HR Profession Map and how the framework and standards within it define a HR professional. The professional areas, the bands and the behaviours will be outlined and the two core professional areas as well as two behaviours will be evaluated to explain how they uphold the concept of ‘HR Professionalism.’ Examples from the knowledge and activities in band 2 will be used in support.
HR professionals have to think carefully about what they are doing in the context of their organization and within the framework of recognised body of knowledge. They have to perform effectively in the sense of delivering advise, guidance and services that will help the organisation to achieve its goals.
I have been asked to provide a report that supports the retention of the HR function within our organisation. In this report I will explain how Human Resource activities support the organisations strategy and how HR professionals support line managers and their staff.

The Human Resource Professional (HRP) Map displays a clear idea about the required HR skills, knowledge and behaviour to lead the organization to successes. The HRP Map covering of 10 professional areas, 8 behaviours and 4 bands. Sarah Miles (2009), CIPD organizational development director, said: "This is a complete rethink of professional standards, not just a simple face-lift, and that 's not something you can turn around in a short time."
HR also serves organisations by handling administrative duties such as payroll, supporting workplace safety and advising line managers regarding employee relations (Mayhew, 2014).
My report briefly summarise the CIPD Profession Map, then I would like to make comment on the activities and knowledge specified within one professional area first. The second part my report will outline how an HR/L&D practitioner should ensure the services provided are timely and effective.
