Academics, Attitude, and Effort are what I learned to help me achieve my targets in high school, and will be the same for college. What I want to experience at CBU is their immense amount of resources that will benefit me in a major or career that I want to be in, however, right now I am undecided. With my attitude at CBU will help me experience great effects on what I could do to exceed in life. With my effort I know my experience will be a tremendous including social life, so knowing I will get to know my professors with the ratio being 17:1 in almost every class at CBU.

Being chosen to be a candidate for a membership for the National Honor Society is such an honor to me. It shows that I have worked hard in all aspects of my life to show leadership, success, excellence and service, despite the many challenges I have faced along the way. It also proves to myself that I have worked hard to maintain my grades in ninth, tenth, and some of eleventh grade while maintaining a part time job, and volunteering at a barn in my hometown.

I’ve come to understand why having access to institutions or facilities that can provide adequate sight and vision treatments is necessary. Being in America we’re blinded by an abundance of luxuries. We take the small things in life for granted and feel as if they should be handed to us with a silver spoon. What about the child in India who doesn’t have the opportunity to visit care centers to examine his or her eyes? What about the homeless and orphan children in Russia that can’t afford to see a doctor about their blurred vision? Who’s going to help out the child of the native lands that lives too far from the nearest medical care clinic but just severely injured his or her eye? All of these things are real life situations and real life problems that less developed countries face as they struggle to obtain funding or even educators who can routinely and professionally provide the necessary

I am privileged to be considered for the National Junior Honor Society. There are not many adolescents with the qualities found within a NJHS member, and I would be honored to be an anomaly. The National Junior Honor Society is an admired, well-respected organization I would love to be a part of. One tenet I can promote is scholarship. Evident from my eligibility for applying for the NJHS, I have earned exemplary grades throughout my school career.

I feel incredibly honored to be considered as an applicant to the National Honors Society. The National Honor Society recognizes high school students around the country for their achievement in academics, leadership, service, and character. I believe I obtain specific qualities necessary in NHS. I have acquired a good academic record, leadership skills, work ethic, and some great characteristics. The National Honor Society is a prestigious organization that I, as a student, am striving for acceptance. At the end of seventh grade, I was accepted into the National Junior Honor Society and ever since then I have had my eyes set on the next level of education. I have had outstanding grades throughout my academic career, which has taught me leadership and how to show my service to the community, all while building my character into the person I am today. Ever since I was little, my sister has held me to high academic standards to see if I would be able to achieve higher scores and obtain more awards than she did when she was in high school. One of her highest student accomplishments was being accepted into the National Honor Society.

National Honor Society Entrance Essay The National Honor Society was established to recognize and foster excellence beyond the classroom in areas of leadership, service and character. This organization is known for sharpening social and academic skills, and producing well-rounded scholars. Therefore, I am deeply honored to be among the exemplary students chosen to be considered to represent the Cleveland Heights chapter. Ever since I was a young child I have always had the utmost respect for The United States of America and all of the brave heroes that keep our country safe across seas and in our homelands. When I think of a hero the first thing that comes to mind are the men and women who have served or are currently serving in our military. All of our soldiers have the courage, dedication, and bravery that we all should strive to imitate. The amount of sacrifice that they make often goes overlooked in today's society. Another hero that protects our countries homelands are the men and women of the police force. The police officers also put their lives on the line everyday trying to protect all of us. Police officers have been under a lot of scrutiny over the past years and it saddens me that they are not getting the respect they deserve.
