There was a war fought between the original thirteen colonies and Great Britain around April in 1775. This war was known as The American Revolution and although war was pretty common back then but, this was a different kind of war. The thirteen colonies that were rebelling against their mother country were fighting to become a country where every human has the freedom to do and say what they wanted. Also, they had many new ideas for running a country that many countries had never thought of or that they did not want. These ways of running government had never been tried before and were huge changes to how things were done back then. The American Revolution would end up not only changing the thirteen colonies into America, but it also changed

The impact of the war was not the cause of change for some of the categories, but was further down the line during other times. the revolution was not revolutionary because it inflicted moderate change in the political and social categories and inflicted no change in the aspects of Slavery

From one perspective war has always been the same, technology may improve or philosophies may change, but wars are started by those in power and fought by the poor. The results now may be somewhat different from 1775, post-Revolutionary war time with rebellions like Shay’s Rebellion, but the various reasons for the poor to join the military have stayed relatively the same.

Many claim the American revolution to be conservative; however, evidence suggests otherwise. Throughout the Eighteenth Century, short term and long term changes occurred within Colonial America. Some of the rapid changes include, and are not limited to, the change of government, the mobility of social status to even the poor, and how mercantilism rapidly changed into capitalism.

To this, it ended salutary neglect as Britain rose taxes on stamps, teas, and anything else that was legal by the king. In the years leading up the Revolutionary War, American colonist grew increasingly resistant to British authority over the colonies. The British passed a series of taxes that sparked controversy of Parliaments authority to pass legislation over the colonies. These events eventually lead to the Boston Tea party, which was a protest of the Tea Act and British rule. The British response to escalating situation in Boston was a show of force placing the city under military rule. These actions untied the Americans colonies under the goal of Independence. The American Revolution was lost by the British due to supply and terrain issues, unclear strategy, and military miscalculations.

The American Revolution was the first time any country had fought for independence, and that was a big deal in the 1700s. At the time, Great Britain was considered to be the greatest empire in the nation-how did thirteen little colonies with no military experience defeat this powerful empire? The colonists were very hesitant at first, but with superb leadership, help from the French, and a few errors made by British commanders, the colonies were able to conquer Great Britain and create their own empire.

The American Revolution change women's rights in some ways. In Document 7 it says " in the new code of laws I suppose it will be necessary for you to make I desire, Remember the desire you remember the ladies, and be more favorable and generous to them than your ancestors were". The war had very small impact on Women's Rights, some of the few states gave rights for women to vote, which was considered very strange and unimaginable. Before any of the war began, woman was labeled to be an obedient and helpful wife, teach/ raise the children, and clean/cook for the house. With that being said, the war gave people a new view point of women and pushed for both men and woman to reconsider the women roles in family and society

The American Revolution was turning point in the United States. It was a time of change and revolution in America. The ideas during the American Revolution is responsible for the way America is today. The American Revolution opened the eyes of many americans to what is right and just. The American Revolution was a revolutionary time because it led to more equality for the minorities, it gave more power to the people and broke down social barriers.

For many, after the dreadful seven years’ war all thought it could only get better. Britain sustained a massive debt leaving them in a hole so deep you could not see light. Britain had sought to acquire all nessary funds to help lessen the debt as much as possible, leaving the people angered, especially people from the colonies. Britain began to impose an abundance of unsanctioned taxes on them. The American colonist were infuriated with such actions, arguing that they it was not consulted. In accordance to all these events many had took it up themselves to express their opinion with action.
