The previous chapter demonstrated the key fundamentals of the research and an introduction to the concept of Cloud Computing. Even though a lot of research work has been done on the subject of cloud computing, the field is still a relatively new academic field. The National Institute of standards has established the standards related to Cloud computing and the research into the subject continues, especially with new tools and technology infrastructure that continues to evolve at a very fast pace.

This paper gives an overview at the structure and working of the idea of cloud computing. This paper consists of the basic idea of cloud computing, its various characteristics along with its components, architecture and also the different types of cloud computing. In this paper the various terms and various concepts related to cloud computing are explained. This paper concludes with the current research and projects that are being performed in cloud computing.

The article “Cloud Computing: State of the Art and Security Issues” is written by Shruti Chhabra and V.S. Dixit, published by ACM SIGSOFT on 3rd April 2015. The article appears to be a collection of basics terminologies for Cloud Computing along with some categories comparisons between various Cloud services available in the market. In an attempt to discuss various security issues related to Cloud Computing, the authors have divided the article into nine areas as summarized below.
