MECHANICAL THE 8TH WONDER AND THE SCOPE AND FLAWS IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
I don’t want to show that mechanical engineering is the 8th wonder by its actual persistence but by his full extent and what did mechanical engineers did from the past from its existence.
What a Mechanical engineering is?
Mechanical engineering is a diverse subject that derives its breadth from the need to design and manufacture everything from small individual parts and devices (e.g., microscale sensors and inkjet printer nozzles) to large systems (e.g., spacecraft and machine tools).
Why the name as mechanical engineering?
Engineering has existed since ancient times as humans devised fundamental inventions such as the wedge, lever, the wheel, and pulley. Each of

Mechanical Engineering has been around for a very long time. It has grown tremendously over the years and has been an integral part of shaping our world today.
“Without mechanical engineering, all the seven wonders of the world wouldn’t have existed because all the wonders have the link with mechanical engineering.”
Because all the constructions that were made have the few glimpse of robust structural designing which is a part of mechanical engineering and without the materials this wonders wouldn’t have been established.
I am calling mechanical engineering the 8th wonder because the only reason behind this is that it has a massive implementation in our day to day life without which we might not have such a wonderful life:
The 20 greatest engineering achievements of all time eight of them were the primary responsibility of Mechanical Engineers and Mechanical Engineering.
These technologies were:
The Automobile, Airplane, Agricultural Mechanization, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, Spacecraft, Household Appliances, Nuclear Technologies, High-performance Materials.
As you can see, many of these are an integral part of our lives each

What and all we can do with a mechanical degree in hand?
It is one of the oldest branches of engineering. One of the appealing features is that the field is broad and diverse. All in all mechanical engineering offers a wide bouquet of job options to students who are looking for a stable and stimulating career.
Plethora of opportunities awaits us if we do it right. Not only designing but Mechanical Engineer can work on each and every stage during the process of making a product. Public and Private Sectors both offer plenty of career opportunities.
The scope of Mechanical Engineering is vast. Various exams that you can give which leads to good job opportunities after B.E are:
There are many government examinations which we can write after completing B.E (Mechanical Engineering).
We can appear for RRB exam to get into Railways for jobs. Being a mechanical engineer, we can join technical job posts like Assistant Engineer/ Junior Engineer/Project Manager/Technician,
The profession of mechanical engineering is a broad discipline of engineering. Mechanical engineers research, design, develop, build, and test mechanical and thermal sensors and devices, including tools, engines, and machines. The duties in this career typically include: analyzing problems to see how mechanical and thermal devices might help solve a problem, designing, or redesigning mechanical and thermal devices or subsystems (a set of interconnected systems), using analysis and computer-aided design, developing and testing prototypes of devices they design, analyzing the test results and changing the design or system as needed, and overseeing the manufacturing process for the device. The designing and testing of the various devices shows the
Historically great feats of engineering have been the tell-tale sign of a great civilization. The Great Wall Of China, The Roman Aqueducts, and buildings that reach for the skies. Today Aerospace engineers propel us out of our world and to new and even higher heights. The evolution of engineers comes from a cornerstone of their method, The Engineering Method. They research, prototype and improve their design until they find a solution that fits. Engineers are constantly improving their work so that they can push the boundaries of what we believe is possible. Engineers communicate their progress in science and engineering through their amazing feats and groundbreaking
Job roles: In work experience you will have a better view of how different engineering sectors work and what’s their role in engineering, that would help you to find yourself in that one you interested in and choosing your future career in engineering world.
There are many types of engineering that have changed the world. This includes Biomedical, Chemical, and Civil engineering. Although there is one that stands above the rest, but at the same time requires them. It is aerospace engineering. Aerospace engineering has changed the world by decreasing travel times, decreasing consumption of fuel compared to the amount of people being transported, and most of all, increasing our ability to traverse space.
Many engineers were starting to create beneficial inventions that would impact many lives. For example, Henry Bessemer was an English engineer who created the Bessemer process, a process of producing steel. This made steel an
The following presentation encompases two major historical milestones in the development of american engineering and ingenuity. The first being the development of the steam engine and the second the invention of the telegraph.
Many technologies that we see as necessities today, got their start around the 1800’s. Boats with engines and metal such as cargo ships, cruise ships, and navy ships all stem from Robert Fulton’s steam boat. Thomas Edison’s
Staring at engine components of a car as well as holding a smartphone with almost unbelievable thickness fascinated me in many ways indirectly leaded me into getting to know more through different sources about machines ranging from transportation to communication devices. Two years of A-level preparation, further solidified my interest in this area as I found myself very fond of learning mathematics, physics and mechanics in particular. In addition, my curiosity in the operation and dynamics of objects naturally influences my choice of degree, leading me towards Engineering as it is a discipline which satisfy my own interest and most probably bring out the best of me.
One significant innovation was the engine that was created in 1712 by Thomas Newcomen. It was, first created to be used in navigation and succeeding to power machinery which revolutionized the world and started the industrial era. The engine acts as a powerhouse making machines move, but needs fuel to keep it running. Mechanical Engineers are assigned to learn the functions of the engine itself and understand how to further improve it by making it reduce the consumption of fuel or to increase the power output. Unlike automobiles, ships and airplanes with their size, still need lots of fuel due to tremendous power needed to be able to move. Cars that run using electricity do not handle gas for fuel, making it eco-friendly, however they do not provide as much power as the cars that run with gas.
All the three engineering marvels are important in history and progress of not just the Romans, but also the mankind on a whole. All the three still exist today and were brought in by those Roman Emperors who are remembered in positive light as being good rulers of their times. Their pro public policy was the reason for such inventions and also
"The wonderful progress of the present century is, in a very great degree, due to the invention and improvement of the steam engine, and to the ingenious application of its power to kinds of work that formerly taxed the physical energies of the human race."~Robert H. Thurston
It is almost impossible, today, to look around you and not see the products of engineering, pretty much regardless of where one may be. In this way, advancements in engineering and its various branches have clearly allowed humanity to develop in immeasurable ways or this would not be the case (Frank C. Whitmore, 1979). However, those who do not have much knowledge of the background processes behind this infrastructure may not realise its impact as deeply or may not realise the impact of engineering at all - despite modern society’s fundamental dependence upon it (National Academy of Engineering, 2001).

Engineering is an exciting field that I believe will be enjoyable, challenging, and above all, intuiting to undertake at university. I believe pursuing engineering means exceeding your expectations and making a
I have also got the chance to get a lot of insight into the processes of casting and welding. In my final year I took Production Planning and Control & Maintenance Engineering as my elective so that I could get initiated into the field. I got to know the basic operations of different mechanical systems of the automobile like the I.C. engine, brakes, clutches, powertrain, transmission and differentials. A Master’s degree would allow me to delve deeper into individual aspects of Industrial Engineering by studying and examining them in greater detail and gain practical experience by way of relevant internships. Hence Master’s in Industrial Engineering became an obvious necessity.
