TQM Model/Methodology
Total Quality Management (TQM), is a philosophy that focuses on quality and customer satisfaction. Being an expert in TQM gives numerous opportunities for me to show organizations how to effectively use TQM models. In my present job, I will determine and select a Total Quality method to present to an organization for the incorporation into the strategic planning process. The model will need to be compatible with current organizational strategic plans and increase internal and external customer quality. The chosen method will also benefit the organization financially, effectively, and efficiently while still serving the need of TQM.

In order for CQI to be completely embraced by the organizations internal and external customers, the organization must completely commit to the change.
Assuring the employees that the reasons for the changes are valid, explaining the benefits of utilizing CQI, and showing confidence in the new process will help to phase out the old for the new. Keeping communication lines open can also help. By making sure that communication flows both ways can help ensure the success of the implementation.
Implementation
Implementation requires that the organizations mission, vision, goals, and objectives coincide. Strategic planning must be consulted and considered when implementing CQI because if there is conflict, customer satisfaction will suffer. After making certain that the implementation of CQI will not conflict with the organizations strategic plans, a hand on approach will be taken to identify goals and objectives. Collection of data will show the areas where there is currently low quality and who is affected. Then the problem will be defined and researched to understand how it originated. Research will also show where and when the problem happens and how often the problem occurs. By answering these questions, there will be a better course on understanding how to solve the problem.

The total quality management or TQM is the particular management approach which was originated in the year 1950. It became popular in the early 1980s and from then on implemented in various ways in different firms. It is the explanation of the culture and attitude of the organization that provides the customer satisfaction with the products and the services. The culture will need quality in every aspects of the operation of the company. The processes should be done in the right method by eliminating any waste during the operations.
The change that I would like to see occur is increasing the compliance by enhancing communication with employees
Total quality management can be defined as a system of management that is based on the principle that every staff member needs to be committed to maintaining standards of work in every aspect of a company’s operations. This form of management is done in order to make sure that the entire organization can excel as a whole when it comes to the products or services that are important to the customer. Subsequently, this form of management has two fundamental operational goals. These goals are; careful design of the product or service, and ensuring that the organizations systems can produce the design at a consistent rate. What makes these two goals so important is the fact that they cannot be accomplished without the entire organizations unity. Furthermore this is how the term total quality management, was established.
In order to bring about a successful change, it is important to first consider the rationale for change. The organization and people being impacted by the change must understand the desire for change, benefits, and importance of supporting the change. After the change has been embraced and implemented successfully, it is essential for the organization to incorporate it as a standard practice, motivate the personnel to utilize it, and adhere to the change to influence positive
With any change there are many factors involved within the process itself however communication has to be the key factor involved in the change process. Without this you cannot expect line managers or employees to support the change. With communication you need to ensure employees feel positive. It is also good practice the company adapts its style of communication depending on their audience and where they are in the change. Where one style might suit senior management, this might not be appropriate for administrators or cleaners. Communication can have a huge impact on the end result, it can also help to ensure targets are met, everything is kept in control and no employee disregards the change. Lack of communication could lead to frustration and lack of trust with employees.
This is where we presently at. The more prepared we are, the easier it would be to execute; therefore we are having a lot more communication, training, and support from our leaders, as we become familiar with the change. This ultimately will remind us of the reasons for the change, and once fully implemented how it will benefit the clients.
Planning the change – Ensure that all research has been completed; examine the organisational structure, job descriptions, and performance and compensation systems to ensure they are in line with the vision.

The mission and vision statements of various corporations are often worded with the quality of a product and the satisfaction of the consumer. This notion is fine; however, it takes discipline and commitment to truly achieve it. This commitment must start at the top of a corporation and spread vigorously throughout the entire company.
