Sourcing talent is another important part of the overall recruitment process. It involves sourcing out the right candidate for the positon and includes testing evaluations, personality and professional references, and work history. Most human resource recruiting agents will be sourcing talent to make sure the right person is selected. During the process of sourcing talent identifying and locating high potential recruits, either internally or externally will involve the analysis of these sourcing tools to identify those best able to meet the firms staffing goals. Perhaps the most important component in sourcing talent is to create a source plan to profile desirable employees, and then devise a plan to reach them. Using surveys or focus groups, ask where do they like to go, what media do they use, what organizations do they belong to, and what events do they attend? The stronger your qualifications are the higher the chances you get selected for the positon.
