Today's generation cannot live without technology as it is already a part of our daily life. Technology is notably important - unforgettable moments can be saved my taking photos; communication is easier through messages, chats, and calls. Many things can be done through technology - cellphones and tablets are more convenient to use due to its compact design that allows us to bring them everywhere with ease. If you are to ask teenagers on the brand of phone they desire, most of them would say iPhone. Most iPhone users belong to the upper class. That is why a plethora of people crave for an iPhone. Besides its special features, the popularity of the brand is the other reason why people prefer them. The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7+ are the latest models of the smartphone brand.

The first mobile phones, due to its “smaller” size, would still be considered very large in today’s world. Many of the early cell phones were considered “car phones” because they were shaped like a brick and could not fit into one's pocket. The first cell phone was called the Motorola DynaTAC 8000x and was commercially available in 1983. The cellular technology to call these phones was analog frequencies. The introduction of the Blackberry popularized the use of the technology allowing more and more people to be involved. In the world today, cell phones are being used more than ever before. Everywhere you go, cell phones are present, and its users range from almost all ages. There is no avoiding the fact that cell phones are a prominent way of communication. They have become so influential in peoples’ everyday lives that many can not imagine life without a cell phone. In the modern-day world, there are about 6.8 billion cell phone subscriptions. Mobile telephones have really changed the way we do things in our daily life. Before cell phones were invented individuals were more interactive with each other. In the late 1900’s, Martin Cooper invented the first mobile telephone. Today we have a variety of mobile phones to choose from such as Apple and Samsung. Widespread cell phone use has definitely affected the world negatively because it is a distraction, can be harmful, and addicting.

Fisher’s main idea in this article is that cell phone technology nowadays ruins people sociological and cultural actions and is also a reason why he refuses to have a cell phone of his own.
