Interpretation:
The line in the emission spectrum of hydrogen which has the shortest wavelength among red, blue-green and violet is to be stated.
Concept introduction:
The concept of electron energy level was supported by the line spectrum of hydrogen. In a gas discharge tube, excited atoms of hydrogen have electron in a high energy orbit. In the process, when electron drops from the higher energy level to lower energy level, the electron loses a discrete amount of energy.
