With the renewal with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act of 2004, the RTI concept is found. The RTI model is grounded in the ability to use interventions to support students, without referring them to special education services and placement. Outlined within IDEA local school districts are allowed to designate up to 15% for students for learners with disabilities. Within the methodology of the RTI model is that the regular education teachers will facilitate learning for students, with less of the demand being placed on the special education teachers. I can tell that this source is well written and ready to argue the position against the issue because they have a lot of good information about the argumentative issue. This source is found on a website that is called Shark Online. The intended readers are more for the rodeo people. The people that think rodeo is and isn’t abuse. The position being argued here is that rodeo is abusive to the animals because they claim that when people are doing the events that they hurt the animal. For example, they say that when cowboys are calf roping or doing break away the are saying that they rope tightens and stays tighten. That is not true what so ever, yes the rope tightens for a couple seconds then it releases then the calf is let go. The rope is not tight enough where the calf can’t breathe.
As in any research based program there are benefits and challenges. One of the biggest benefits of RTI is it has the ability to transform how we educate all students. When implementing Response to Intervention it helps to treat learning disabilities, identifies students with disabilities, classifies every student’s strengths and targets the specific disability. Perhaps the greatest benefit of an RTI approach is that it eliminates a “wait to fail” situation because students get help promptly within the general education setting. As soon as assessment data indicates a problem area for a student, interventions are put into place to address these concerns. One of the biggest challenges that are occurring is that RTI is still uneven; some districts use it and some do not and because of this it becomes a challenge. There is confusion as to what RTI is and whether schools are required to use. Wilson, Faggella-Luby, & Wei (2013) present a cogent plan for Tier 3 Response to Intervention (RTI) for secondary students with reading disabilities, content, and pedagogy planning tools, content instruction, and instructional method implementation. Both research application lacks concerning Tier 3 RTI in high schools (Wilson et. al). RTI is curriculum that addresses the learning needs of all students that also includes screening and monitoring progress. Continuing, Wilson et. al define Tier 1 RTI, core curriculum for all students serving the needs of 80% of students, Tier 2 RTI, small group instructional intervention, serving the needs of 15% of students, and Tier 3 RTI, an intense one to one intervention for students who continue to struggle beyond Tiers 1 and 2, serving 5% of students. Wilson et al. provides information the reader needs to understand in the article without clutter, expressing their writing with economy (Zinsser, 2013). Many children have physical, or pathological disabilities which cause them to have a below average performance in a usual classroom environment. The government of the United States of America, having recognized this, issued the Education of All Handicapped Children Act in 1975 in order to assist children afflicted with these disabilities (Berger, 2014). This lead to the creation of multiple special education programs for these children. Programs, such as LRE and RTI strategies have allowed many children to receive education they otherwise would not be able to receive.
The columbine shooting shocked the world and having the blame on video games was one of the reasons why these kids did this. In this article it talks about the tragic event that took place on April 20, 1999 a couple of teenagers who were being bullied throughout high school came to school and went on a killing rampage taking out everyone they can see. RtI works at its best when personal from across the school, including administrators, general education teachers, special education teachers, supplemental specialists, music and gym teachers, and counselors all collaborate to support the framework, because each staff member shares equal responsibility for the success and failure of all students (Shapiro 2011). RtI needs the full support of all staff members, because it does not show immediate results and could take between 3-5 years to see its positive impact. RtI gives schools the chance to correct literacy issues, and fix the problem early, before students’ progress forward where they pay for it long into their future.
In the 3rd step plan the implementation is when educators will monitor and provide feedback to ensure the intervention is delivers properly. And step 4 is to evaluate the problem, consultant and teacher will evaluate the responsiveness to the intervention and modify if needed. These steps result in a great intervention program that is precise to see desired results in the RTI. With intervention trial and error is how real results are achieved. In previous years before interventions and RTI’s were placed in schools, too many children were sent for learning disabilities or special education showing teachers inability or unwillingness to teach sand accommodate academic diversity ( Reynolds, 1987). The article states how teachers can generally implement learning strategies until the student gets it and if after interventions and RTi’s measure the responsiveness as not responsive the child can be placed in special education to receive IEP’s to adjust to their learning disability.

In my opinion, the best paper I did was the Annotated Bibliography. I feel this because I really put more time in it, in comparison to other papers. I didn’t wait to the last minute to do it and I look for reliable sources to use in it. I could organize my time and I used all the tools the professor facilitate to us in Canvas, starting from the book lectures and the examples and the presentations. Also, I used the Student Writing Center.
Summary: According to Viele (2012), she states that when it comes to information literacy, there seems to be an abundance of definitions. The most concise and all-encompassing meaning is that information fluency is a set of skills necessitating individuals to be able to distinguish when and what actual information is needed. The author states that an individual should be capable to effectively locate, evaluate, and use the needed information in making informed decisions that are invaluable throughout life. In any situation whether it be preparing a presentation for class, a poster, or writing a report, these steps should be completed in an ethical manner. In the article, the author breaks down each of the information fluency skills in component parts. She also provides explanations of how to do each with online tutorials links, helpful websites, and examples for reference of good places to start when making sure that each skill is preformed effectively.
Shouldn’t this generation be required to play Pac-Man, Asteroids, Galaga, Centipede Pit Fall or Frogger before they get to play Call of Duty, Grand Theft Auto or Halo?
