If for example this was to change, and the volunteers and employees no longer agreed with mission statements, they would be less likely to volunteer meaning Oxfam would have less money to fund their cause, because they would have to employ more staff. They voluntarily help to run and operate the business, this is very helpful to Oxfam because it means they can save money, and invest in other areas of the business. The employees at Oxfam have a huge influence on the business because they give up their personal time because they believe in social justice. Apple’s employees have a huge influence on the company they want to be provided with livelihood and want security and rewards, because of this Apple may put a reward system in place based on the sales. They will set a team a particular sales target or goal if they meet this they will be given a bonus, this helps the company by increasing profit through more sales. Apple have many different suppliers I feel that suppliers do not hold a huge influence on a company as big as apple because Apple could always change their suppliers if they wanted to. The suppliers in my opinion are not huge stakeholders because Apple wouldn’t see as important as say customers. The reason being if Apple have an issue with their current suppliers they could change and find a new supplier
Due to the high success rate of Oxfam, they now have over 90 stores all over the world and over 100,000 employees and volunteers. However that doesn’t include the people which participate in fundraisers: such as fun runs, festivals, cycling and running events to support the charity. The Oxfam Headquarters is located in Cowley, Oxford. As a multinational charitable organisation, Oxfam has many supporters, nevertheless, they still want to better themselves and help more people. As they’re a charity based organisation, their aim isn’t to make a profit but to make a lot of money which they will then spend on helping people.
In this task I will be describing eight different stakeholders which are; customers, employees, suppliers, owners, trade unions, employer associations, local and national communities and the government. I will be stating what they are, who they are, why they useful, how they influence stake holders on organisation and why they are useful to business I have chosen which is Tesco and The British Heart Foundation.
Suppliers are interested in supplying Tesco with goods because of the business they get from them and the profit that they receive. They influence Tesco because if the suppliers go out of business then Tesco will have to find new suppliers that may not offer the same high standards as the previous supplier.
A stakeholder are anyone with an interest in the actions of the business. Apple is a business that has both internal and external stakeholders. These stakeholders are really important within the business as they help to keep the business running and also help the Apple to be successful overall. The best way in which Apple can have really good relationships with their stakeholders is by communicating effectively. There are many ways in which Apple as a business can dothis. Onemethodis the way they approach their stakeholders. This is important because if they (the company) approach their stakeholders in a positive way then they will get a positive outcome.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a very controversial topic. A question that has been debated for the past few decades is; is it corporately viable to introduce social responsibility as a proposed addition to the work ethic of business organisations. As well as, if adopting the framework of corporate social responsibility would yield positive improvements for those organisations.
Apple was established as an IT company dealing in exclusively in computers. However, competition in the technology sector forced the firm to focus on other consumer products. The diversification strategy has seen Apple’s sales grow tremendously in the last decade, earning the firm the No. 1 brand position at Forbes. The Apple brand is recognized on an international scale and enjoys a strong recognition thanks to its aggressiveness when it comes to creativity and innovation (Tar, 2013). It has a large number of loyal customers who would purchase the new products regardless of the market price, which guarantees profits from the new division.
