The Industrial Revolution was a time period, from the 18th century to the 19th century, where countries were becoming more industrial and urban, where factories and . In the United States, there was mainly an increase in transportation becoming more industrialized and common. In Great Britain, there was more of an increase in manufacturing and textile production. The cotton gin made it a whole lot easier for the people to get just the cotton from the machine and not the seeds that they had to pick out, which made it a whole lot easier and faster to produce and manufacture. It helped make cotton a more profitable crop and it eventually led to slavery. Cotton gin productivity impacted the lives of African Americans by freeing slaves from having to pick the seeds individually out from the cotton lint by hand, it lowered the price of cotton, increased the demand for cotton in textile mills, and it increased the need for slaves to be out in the plantation fields. They were required to work long days, in the cold or hot. With the production of the cotton gin, it made it easier yet harder because they needed to produce more with the machine that they were given. The slave population grew fast over the time period. Overall, the cotton gin helped reduce the heaviness of the work, along with making it easier to produce more cotton. When television was first introduced, it was strictly enforced on what could be broadcasted on television. Now, things are enforced but not as much, they sensor things that aren’t “appropriate”. I think that graphic images should be more federally regulated because the government shouldn’t suggest those things, and it creates more problems in the nation than there already are, but at the same time I think not because of the fact that people should be able to watch whatever they want to without government regulation. People are allowed to believe what they want to believe, so why shouldn’t they be able to watch what they choose to watch? But I also think that people don’t always make the right decisions and they could be seeing or watching things that they shouldn’t be watching, especially young people.
