Presidential Candidates on Controversy Issues. This paper will focus on some issues addressed by 2016 presidential candidates from Republic and Democratic Party. These presidential candidates are Hillary Clinton, Ben Carson, Bernie Sanders and Donald Trumps. Some of the issues that will be addressed are gun laws, abortion, immigration, same sex marriages and taxes. Clinton, opposes gun control laws because it terrorizes people. “We cannot let a minority of people, and that’s what it is, it is a minority of people, hold a viewpoint that terrorizes the majority of people,” Clinton said during a live CNN town hall. (Miller). Sanders is neutral about the gun laws. He voted against decreasing gun waiting period from 3 days to 1 day, but voted yes on allowing guns in checked baggage (“Bernie Sanders on Gun Control”). Trump feels it is alright to have guns because in case the government requested people to turn in their guns only the good citizens would abide while criminals would not and this would leave the good citizens unprotected (“Donald Trump on Gun Control”). Carson, is in support of law abiding citizens having a right to carry guns, but is not in favor of semi-automatic weapons in the city (“Ben Carson on Gun Control”). While all these presidential candidates have valid points, I agree with Hilary Clinton. There should be limited rights to ownership of guns. It is not safe for people to carry guns everywhere. Carrying guns, especially in schools would create a lot of fear
Another four years another presidential debate. Before I go on to the current debates let me state a few facts about past ones. The Lincoln and Douglas debate was in important because it started Lincoln presidential career. The Debates lasted from August 21 -- October 15. There where seven of them, with two days to two weeks in between. Each debate lasted three hours; first candidate spoke for one hour; the second for one and a half hours; the first replying for a half hour. Candidates alternated going first. The topics involved where primarily slavery and the Union. Other important debates were the '48 and '57. They were the only debates before 1960; there were no presidential debates between 1960 and 1976. In
She is willing to take action on this situation with a gun lobby, going for reforms, banning guns from terrorists. “I’m running for president to protect our families and communities from the plague of gun violence,” she told the crowd. Clinton strongly supports comprehensive background checks. Hillary’s overall goal is to reduce the number of guns going into the wrong hands, considering that it’s beginning to be the leading cause of death of many young African American men.
When speaking of politicians we have to look at the local and federal officials. We are living in a world today as to where other countries have lost assurance in our federal government. It’s evident that we now live in a world of chaos faced with a lot of different controversial issues. A vast part of this reason is due to decisions made by our politicians. A typical example is the inadequacy of health care this has been a huge controversial topic that affects millions of people. Children and adults lack in health care while many families struggle to earn a living and America’s families are being denied the chance to achieve the American Dream. The Bible teaches us to respect our parents, the elderly and those placed in authority. Therefore

For the candidates that are running for the presidency Hillary Clinton is one of the candidates that is for gun control, " her gun control plan, promising that if she’s elected, she’ll ban some guns and impose other restrictive gun control laws, in some cases without Congress’ approval.”(daileycaller). Clinton would
There are two main political parties that dominate politics in the in the United States: The Democratic and Republic Parties. It turns out that these two political parties are opposed to each other on a wide range of issues that affect American public life. Unfortunately, many Americans are unaware of these differences between the two parties and tend to vote their officials into office in an uneducated manner. This often results in the political gridlock that often characterize government business in Washington. The Republican and Democratic Party don 't have much in common but they do have a a lot of things that they oppose from each other. Some issues that both parties have in common support the death penalty. But on issues like abortion Democrats think that should be made legal while Republicans think that it should be illegal. In this essay, I shall examine the ideological positions of either party on a number of these issues in order to define my own allegiance towards either of them.
America is considered as a global superpower, and has a critical role to play in the global socioeconomic and political landscape. Critical examination of US presidential elections show that they draw widespread attention from across the globe. In many instances, the major political parties differ significantly on policies, a prospect that may work to the advantage or the disadvantage of the candidate for Democratic Party of the Republican Party. After months of the long bruising primaries, the GOP conducted its convention in Cleveland while the democratic sect held their convention in Philadelphia. The speeches delivered in the two conventions had significant policy differences which are likely to influence voting
Since the beginning of their inception the Republican and Democrats have had a great divide on their perceptions of what is best for this great nation of ours. Republicans and democrats are distinct in several ways above all in their ideas, politics and world views. Republicans seem to be known as conventional or cautious and they seem to embrace economic equity beyond any other thing. Whereas a Democrat seems to be more open minded and they stand for government supported programs. The purpose of the paper is to analyze, compare and contrast the two parties positions on the issues of same sex marriage, race based affirmative action and illegal immigration.
The political history of Texas shows Democratic Party as a leading party in the Texas until 1960s. The majority of state’s cities support republican whereas the capital city and other major city remain Democratic. The both of the party have their own policy to work on different issues. Their policy is different but their agenda is general maintenance of the state as well as the nation. This paper will discuss where each of the party stances on the issues likes immigration, abortion and health care. Each of the party has their own policy to look over these issues and a way to improvise in this field.
The second presidential debate was held at St. Louis, Missouri on a Sunday Evening, October 9th, 2016 at 9:00PM. The debate lasted until 10:30PM. The debate involved presidential candidates, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. Just like the First Presidential Debate, this debate mainly focused on the candidates and their plans for the future. That night, there was a lot of opposition in opinion on both sides. It was a heated battle. Both Trump and Clinton battled it out with facts, some of which were both very strong and very weak.

While Americans argue over immigration, which will be a major topic of debate during the upcoming 2016 Presidential Election, a widening number of Americans are quietly emigrating to other countries. A recent online poll conducted by TrasferWise, a peer-to-peer funds transfer service headquartered in the United Kingdom, shows that 35 percent of Americans are considering leaving the country, in the meantime, a record number has already left.
Republicans and Democrats are the two main and historically largest political parties in the US and, after every election, hold the majority seats in the House of Representatives and the Senate as well as highest number of Governors. Though both the parties mean well for the US citizens, they have distinct differences that manifest in their comments, decisions and history. These differences are mainly ideological, political, social, and economic paths to making the US a success and the world a better place for all. Differences between the two parties covered in this article are based on the majority position though individual politicians may have varied preferences.
In political campaigns, the viewpoints of the individual candidates are often reflective of the positions of their political parties. In the upcoming presidential election, there are issues which have the power to divide the nation. One of the most divisive issues at present is the question of gay marriage and whether or not the federal government should weigh in on what has thus far been a states' rights issue. Both on the state and national levels, the perspective of the people in the various political jurisdictions will determine the way in which they vote. If a party agrees with the population's view on an issue, the people will be more likely to vote with that party. The two major parties, the Republicans and Democrats, have officially been against gay marriage although a few have differed from the party's position. Less is known where some of the "third" parties, such as the Green Party, Libertarian Party, and Constitution Party, stand on the issue.
My opinion of the political issues facing the United States as proposed by the candidates
