Social Media is important since it has connected millions of people and Social Media is one of the dominant ways we communicate with each other. As of 2017 over 2.8 billion people use Social Media worldwide. It is hard to remember communication prior to the emergence of social media.

There has been a new world created out of technology and that world is now affecting and dictating the functionality of our entire world. The world of Internet and social media has now created a new form of citizen who are called users, and these users uses the Internet and social media to do manage their day-to-day activities. It not just the only day-to-day activities that the Internet and social media are getting involved with, they have also redefined the way we do things including how we react to world events, travel, send messages or information, source for information, where to sell and buy products, how and when to make payment for product purchased, and in fact, in order for patient to get an adequate treatment in the hospital or for student to be taught well in schools by teachers or lecturers these days, an internet is required as well as social media to get feedbacks from the patients and student respectively (Dawson, 2015: 15-47).

Social media is any website that allows social interaction. Social media is growing rapidly throughout the world. More adults and teenagers are joining sites such as Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter to interact with friends, family, and strangers. The introduction of social media has changed the world in many ways. It affects each individual in different ways. Today it can be used as a very helpful tool in changing a person’s life, but at the same time cause such conflicts which can negatively impact a person. While there are some negatives associated with social media, the positives in communication all around, has made the world stronger and a better place to live in.

The Generation Y should trusts the tools they use the most but surprisingly, for them the trustworthiest outlets were Newspaper and radio with 30%. People mostly trust radio and newspaper but still, 55% of them choose social media to access current news on the daily basis. The question here is; why do people go on media they don’t trust?

In recent years, the world has changed by modern technological developments. People in these days are living real revolution and changes that affect in somehow their life. Social media has contributed to link parts of this wide world to each other, and paved the way for all people exchange views and ideas. In addition, social media sites are considered the most widespread on the Internet because of its characteristics that made it different from other websites. People have divided into two group toward this issue. Some people think that social media has contributed to make their life better.

In the 21st century social media and technology are enormous parts of every ones everyday lives, especially teenagers 13-17. Teens also believe that under the freedom of speech amendment that they can say anything they want to. Under this belief teens say a lot of regrettable things on networks like Twitter and Facebook. Teens may say something that hurts ones feelings, but administrators at schools are impatient and are quick to label someone as a bully, or someone who hurts someone and causes long lasting pain to someone, because they believe the victim may be scarred when really the victim isn’t. My essential question is: are ant bullying strategies used by schools successful? No, schools are quick to punish and may end up possibly ruining a teens future by putting bullying on a teens transcript. Schools need to be more patient, and need to find the source of the incident and talk to both parties.
