Music
Music; Indefinable by words alone. It is not only something you can hear but what you can feel. It is something your soul is able to reach out and touch. Music also has the power to bring us as humans, together. It is one language spoken by all cultures, sexes, races, age and religions. Music also controls our emotions; it makes us happy, sad, angry, relaxed, etc. We also can express ourselves through music. It can affect our personality.. someone who listens to classical, like Mozart or Bach, all the time is going to be smarter and more intellectual than someone who listens to rap or metal, and someone who listens to more upbeat happier music, like Ska or Swing, is more likely to

This can be overwhelming to the listener. Knowing when and how much to utilize silence is part of listening, one of the key skills of any musician. “Just because you can’t hear it doesn’t mean it’s not music”
Music is respect. Respect to ones self and to others, whether it is someone that has the same taste in music as you, or someone that has the complete opposite taste as you. That’s something I see happen way to much, people bashing on other people because of what they listen to. Instead of accepting that everyone isn’t going to like what you like. Music is supposed to be something we all have in common, it’s supposed to bring us together and create peace, not turn us against each other. It’s something that we all do, including me at times. Not only in music but in everyday life.
Music originates from all over the world since the beginning of time. Complex or simple, fast or slow, loud or soft. It’s what you feel. It could be your method of escape or keeping you living. Music is love. Music is passion. Music is unity. Music is emotion. Music is belief. Music is beauty. Music is life. Music is perfection. Music is imperfection. Music is peace. “Through music we can live forever.”
“That’s the beauty of music. They can’t take that away from you.” -The Shawshank
Music is a key factor in my life, now and has been for as long as I remember. Music is one thing that can control my mood and emotions unlike any other. The sounds and melodies of the composition have the potential to sway my moods from a dark gloomy state all the way to a joyous and soothing harmonic atmosphere. Music allows me to control how and what I want to be, or represent. Music is almost like picking out a favorite outfit. When one picks out an outfit to wear they most likely pick an outfit that expresses them and how they are feeling at that direct moment. They have the ability to change shoes, accessories, or their hairstyle to make it
This is a huge component for me. Music allows me to express myself. When I want to get pumped up and have lots of energy during my workout I’ll turn on rock and roll music real loud to get that extra burst of energy. I like to listen to music when I am down on myself. When I want to forget about all the stress in life and just have a great time I turn to music. Music can put me in a way better mood after a terrible day or a long day at school or work. People like music to remind them of events , especially the happiest times in life. Music can take you back to a time in your life and reminds you that everything comes to an end. Music has showed me that there are stages in your life and I can’t dread on the past, I just keep going and living life to the
Music is another language people use whenever they want to express their feelings. Whether they are angry or passionate, there is always a melody for that emotion. It is universal and it brings people together. There are so many amazing artists that have a substantial influence on this generation and past generations.
Music is an art form that appears in every culture of the world. For thousands of years it has been an important part of the human experience. Music has been used for entertainment, as a way to pass on stories, and as a form of artistic expressions. Each person has their own preference of music of music they like, but most people like music in some form. Music has also been used by therapists patients with mental and physical health issues and achieved good results.
Music surrounds everyday life no matter where you are in the world. Hollow objects make notes when hit. Small wooden reeds, bamboos, and shells whistle when blown into. Anything tightly stretched twangs when plucked and the human voice has a delightful ability to go up and down at will. Even when wind rustles through the wind, birds chirp, or ocean wave’s tumbling is nature’s form of music. I constantly find myself being enthralled by the various forms music. You could say that in sense music as a whole is a form of art. The sounds that entwine harmonize, are rhythmically pleasing, have dynamics, etc., come together as a whole in order to compose a song. “Music produces a kind of pleasure which human nature cannot do without.” (Confucius)
Music, “…one of the most widely used and appealing forms of communication…”, is universal and used for different purposes (Root, 2005, p. 7). Among the uses are “…play or entertainment, which humans of all ages engage in to stimulate feelings of joy, tension, and interaction, and enrich their experiences by adding mental complexity, counteracting boredom and lethargy” (Root, 2005, p. 7). In addition, music expresses “…emotions such as love, sentiment, or anger” (Root, 2005, p. 7). Ultimately, it communicates values showing the reality of society and culture. Anyone listening to “a few records [helps] enrich [their] feelings, extend [their] sense of love or despair, and feed [their] fantasies or fire some real relationship” (Cooper & Haverkos,
Music is a significant element in most lives it takes a role in most cultures people believe in. Music contains a variety of elements within different genres such as the pitch, rhythm, dynamics, timbre and the texture. Different voices and different kinds of instruments produce a variety of frequent
Music is a very fascinating; when it comes to the experience of each and every individual. Almost every person likes some sort of music, whether it is the plunking and strumming sound of a country song guitar or the intensity of a really good rap. Music has the ability to completely change the mood of any given situation. Music has been used as a form of therapy for the mind, and can also affect the body in many ways.
Music is something that builds ideas, inspires, destroys, and enlightens people. Music in history has changed throughout the ages, music now is incredibly different in sound compared to the way it use to be. One thing that has not changed is the feeling, the way a song is written. Music entails words of another’s mind and their personal experiences. Many philosophers have said that music is pure; the emotional expression of a song can have an impact on the way someone is feeling. Music is my personal way of escaping, not only by listing to the lyrics, by writing, by singing, by playing, I cannot imagine what life would be if music was nonexistent.
Music is a hands-on and emotional rollercoaster of opportunities to express moments in our lives that need to be felt. We drive about in our cars and we hear tunes of the season, played away on our radios. We have CDs and cassette tapes filled with memorabilia, back when the music was "good," as the parents may recall. Music is never-ending, and that is what I believe is the most valuable factor of it all. It doesn't matter if you can sing an Italian opera, hum in the shower, or attempt to play the recorder without sounding like a fool. What matters is that music continuously aids those in society, no matter how small the impact, or optimal stress release. (And to be blatant, I haven't met a soul who dislikes a melody of some kind or another.)
Music is a very important part of many people’s lives today. Music has the power to make or break any situation. Many of the uses of music can lead to different responses. Music can put one in a good mood for a party, it can comfort one in hard times and struggles, and it can bond two or more people together who would not otherwise become close. Music can and has changed many lives through the years. The art form dates back to as far as mankind has been around. Since the beginning man has made music and it has evolved with man throughout the years. Music has gone through many stages ranging from plucking strings strung across two boards to pressing keys on a piano to make electronic sounds. Each and every form of music has touched many lives
Music is defined differently for each individual. It is the universal language that speaks to us all, but in different ways. It is one of the few genres that can instantly transport a person back to the past. Music is also an art of sound which expresses ideas, thoughts, and emotions in significant forms through the elements of rhythm, melody, and harmony. It is the design of giving structural form and rhythmic pattern to combinations of sounds produce instrumentally and vocally. To me, music brings a sense of calmness, happiness, and peacefulness. Music is the absolute bread of life because it feeds my soul.
Music is a reflection of the human soul that encompasses the direct emotion of the inner being. Music has existed from the beginning of time from the very creation of the universe, as the angles worshiped God. Throughout the centuries music has dramatically changed, exposing our nature of each generation time and time again. Truth is, you can expose the mindset of an individual based on the music he or she is currently listening to. The article “Surprising Science: What Music Does to Our Brains” by, Belle Beth Cooper makes eight points on how a person reacts when listening to music. Each person will react to music differently depending on their generation and perception at the given moment and has the ability to control
Music is the art of arranging sounds in time, so as to produce a continuous, unified, and evocative (expressive) composition, as through melody, harmony, rhythm, and timbre (tonal quality of any sound). With this perception, one must understand that this definition stands to be the point of view of one individual, or a small group of people. You're probably saying, "Well, I just learned something. I did not know that you could put what I felt into words that intelligently. Wow!" Another may say, "I already knew that, but what does that really have to do with what I feel inside." Yes, I would agree with that. The definition may be good enough to teach to class of youngsters in middle school, but music actually has an unlimited source of meanings.
Music is the combination of organized audio frequencies in intricate patterns floating through the air and clashing in one’s ear. These patterns represent language, expression and unity.
