Rise Of The Industrial Revolution

Decent Essays

The Industrial Revolution was a fundamental change in the ways goods were to be produced. How this was done is people start to invent machines that would do the same job but a lot faster, there for replacing human labor.

They had the spinning wheel and the hand loom but they invented the water frame (1769), spinning jenny (1764) , spinning mule (1779), power loom (1785), cotton gin (1794), steam engine (1712) , sewing machine (1846), and the flying shuttle (1733). These ended up collapsing the cottage workers income of cloth they made.

Now that they had these machines they would need new ways to power them since they couldn’t keep burning coal forever. Some of these new power sources were water, steam, oil, electricity, gas, and kerosene.
