The Industrial Revolution was a very significant change in the economy, culture and social system in England in the late 18th and 19th century. It had a major effect on the agriculture, quiclky turned the old fashion farming system into manufacturing. The new era of industiralization had many positive and negative impacts on people's life, also it led to leading techonological discoveries and changes all around the world. The social impact of the Industrial Revolution is important, because working in factories long (12-16) hours in dangerous and unhealthy conditions made people's life miserable. Using the new material made it possible to build railroads to connect industrial areas and large cities. It was a majort development in transportation and travel besides river and oceanic transportation. The negaitve side effects of growing economy and population had difficult ecological consequences, like soil depletion and deforestation. New financial institutions and banks and the modern form of corporations were created in Britain and France in between 1850-1860s. The Industrial Revolution was based on capitalistic fundamentals and functioned in free market economy based on supply and demand beating competition and making profits. The major priciple of capitalism is that governmet should not be interfere with any businesses. People felt this is causing the major gap between social classes, the huge opposition between the poor and the rich people. The opposition of capitalist thinker were the socialist who believed that government should control the businesses and the main industries which would create equality and reduce poverty on a significant level. The biggest critics of capitalism were the German theorists Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels.
