Ben Carson vs. Donald Trump
Presidential elections have existed in the United States for almost as long as the nation itself. Our first President, President George Washington, won the first presidential election in 1789. Although the voting process has been modified tremendously since the first election, the electoral college system remains our country’s way of collecting the nations votes. In this upcoming 2016 presidential election, I will practice my right as a United States citizen to vote. I have done extensive research on a couple of candidates and feel confident in my knowledge on their views on important issues that have been addressed in our country. The purpose of this paper is to compare presidential candidates, Ben Carson and
The 2016 Presidential election has got to be the most aggressive yet entertaining election of all time. Who would have ever thought that Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton would be the two candidates running for President? This election has got everyone, everywhere riled up over who will win the campaign. Citizens of the United States could argue that neither one of the candidates running, is fit to be Commander and Chief. It has come to the point in this election where citizens are not engaging in voting for President, because of the candidates running. Due to the lack of participates voting, I believe that Senator John McCain would better qualify as President because he is a diplomat, he has a strong military background, he’s had years of experience and is a
We hold debates between the Republican and Democrats before the primaries, and then we hold debates between the two remaining presidential candidates. Upon first glance it may appear that the presidential debates are held to get to know the candidate’s positions on the various issues that are important to the American people; however, the format of the debates make it difficult to accomplish that task. Instead, it is more plausible that these debates are held in order to discover what the candidates are like personally because the debates provide ample opportunities for us to discover the candidate’s values. Ultimately, we want to find out the values that these potential presidents have because we want someone we trust to lead the
In a little over one year the people of the United States will elect a new president into office. There are over twenty candidates currently campaigning for the position. Hilary Clinton, Jeb Bush, Donald Trump, and Dr. Ben Carson are four I have mainly heard mentioned. Making a decision on who I would want in office has actually not been that difficult. I first narrowed it down between Dr. Ben Carson and Donald Trump. These two candidates are similar in ways but also very different. I personally believe that Dr. Ben Carson is a profound genius. Donald Trump is an intelligent man, but is nothing compared to Dr. Ben Carson. When it comes to speaking the mind Donald Trump gives no filter. Dr. Carson speaks his mind also but does it in a more intelligent meaningful softer way. There are three things that concern me when deciding on who the next president should be. Health care, abortion, and religion are three issues I believe need to be addressed when running for president. After much research on both Dr. Ben Carson and Donald Trump, I was able to make the decision that I believe Dr. Carson is exactly what the United States needs as the next
We first talked about whether or not voters should vote, but now let’s look on the other hand of the candidates. Another issue that faces the candidates is
Dr. Ben Carson is the best candidate for the United States of America. His plans for fixing America are greater than all of the other candidates. Carson’s plans will fix all of the problems started by Obama over the last few years. The mistakes that Obama made will not happen under his leadership. He is campaigning during a difficult time for the United States, but he won’t give up on his goal of fixing America.
The reason why I chose Ben Carson because I believe he will support every students that attend school to realize their full potential. I want to see if Ben Carson can help students to attend school to a degree and have a brighter future and to be successful in life. I hope that Ben Carson is able to help people that are not able to get health care or afford it. I want to know if he capable of making a decision of helping patients by
In the upcoming United States presidential election which will take place at November 8th, 2016, candidates are trying to obtain nomination from their own party through the primary election. Dr. Ben Carson from the Republican is one of them. He announced his bid in the election on May 4th, 2015, at the Charles Wright Museum of African American History in Detroit. In his announcement speech, he approached the audience with all three persuasion techniques. Logos, in which he’s well known of, the usage of facts, logic, and reasons to convince the audience. Ethos, an approach of credibility in showing his expertise, which he tended to avoid. However, I think he was most successful with the pathos approach, which is the attempt of connecting
Ben Carson is a newcomer who has never run for public office and will bring new out look and hope to the white house. Ben Carson’s perspective on how he would run the United States/White House will transform his success as an author and speaker in his campaign for presidency.
The issue of education has been a big issue lately. The national government is trying to step into the local schools. Both Ben Carson and Mike Huckabee disagree with this movement. Ben Carson believes that education is the way for someone to get out of poverty. The government needs to stop the controlling on how children are educated. Carson thinks school should be ran by involved parents and teachers and principals. Mike Huckabee believes that Washington bureaucrats and U.S. government central planners
Every four years, the United States’ citizens elect a new president. The election is held in November, but campaigning starts almost a whole year before the election month. Candidates compete on a daily basis for the one position some people only dream of holding. With this election on the horizon, voters need to take time to understand who the contenders are and what their main objects will be once they arrive in office.
As the 2016 presidential elections have approached our country, we see candidates all over the media debating about issues affecting our country. Every presidential candidate has diverse positions on certain issues and as we explore the media for the candidate’s stands on political concerns, we learn additional facts about these candidates. In my evaluation essay, I will be focusing on Bernie Sanders and his stand on education, corporate regulations, and health care.
There are many different presidential candidates vying for the White House. The candidate I chose for this paper on the surface seemed to be a viable candidate. However, I have come to realize she may not be the best choice for our country at this time. My paper will look at her life, the best things about her policies, and the all the things that, if implemented, would be a detriment to our country.
Respect, integrity, responsibility, and honesty are the things I've learned to need to be successful at both of my military schools. While Fork Union and Carson Long have a lot in common, they are very diverse in a multitude of ways. From being alike in having parades, the campuses and education are very different.
In 2013 he was hired by Fox News to work as a contributor (Biography). While working at Fox News he published One Nation: What We Can All Do To Save America’s Future, this later became one of New York Times bestseller. Two years later he decided to run for President. He is quoted saying, “I’m not a politician, I don’t want to be a politician because politicians do what is politically expedient. I want to do what is right” (Biography). During his campaign, the media started questioning some of his early life. They did not believe he was awarded a full scholarship to Yale, nor did they believe that he was violent when he was younger. CNN then conducted a report talking to his neighbors and some of his old school teachers. (Biography). Carson was very popular in the beginning of his campaign trail, but slowly started to lose voters. He then decided to drop out of the presidential race. Carson would later endorse Donald J. Trump, and would be one of his loyal supporters in the presidential race. When trump won the presidential election he announced Ben Carson as his secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Trump later said in a statement, “Ben Carson has a brilliant mind and is passionate about strengthening communities and families within those communities,"
