I was born in a family of sociologist, economist, zoologist and mathematician as they are respectively my mother, uncle, aunt and grandfather. Amid these intellectuals, my uncle, a mechanical engineer is the most renowned. A Fulbright scholar and pioneer of “Renewable Energy Research” in Nepal, growing up he was my role model; I was his favorite kid among others too. My uncle once said “We engineers are the problem solvers and our service is commensurate to the number of people we solve the problems for.” His altruism was compelling and I have been inspired eversince. Having had introduced to Mechanical Engineering by him, it became a motivation for me to ensure it with machines and vehicles. I was fascinated on how a machine with so many components could be arranged with such a perfect sync to produce a desired result. Thus, my determination, strong academic forte in mathematics and physics, my curiosity towards learning about machines and the desire to emulate my role model was the reason I singled out Mechanical engineering for my under-graduate study.
