I am Brooklyn , Brooklyn Stone , and this is my story. Every year near Halloween me and my dad always went to get Pumpkins at the Windy Dindy Pumpkin Patch near the grocery store. At the time i was 7 years old , i was an only child with a mom and a dad. Me and my dad went to the pumpkin patch and my dad had a very bad heart attack , he landed on the pumpkins , broke his skull and died. I remember I was on the floor bawling. My dad had told me when i was about 5 or 6 that one year he was going to die in the pumpkin patch and i would have to pick the right pumpkin to save his life. I didn't believe it until that day. One pumpkin was rotten , another was little , and some others were huge.
The teacher talks about what kind of things they can see in the field trip ( Pumpkin Patch). Everyone wants to say something, but Rayle doesn’t show motivation to participate in the conversation. She is looking around the classroom. Then, the teacher asks her, are you excited to go to the Pumpkin Patch? She spends a minute thinking and after that, she says “I wannnnts to go”, “My daddy is goooooing, too”.
They had told my parent that a few of my red blood cells had a malfunction they started to break down. They had told my parents that I had something called sickle cell which is a group of disorders that cause red blood cells to become misshapen and break down. I never really understood what that meant but I just knew that I had a weak heart and that I never really played gym in school because they said I had “Limitations.” I never really knew what it meant but I just went along with it. A year later on March 11, 2008 I was back in the hospital because I needed surgery on my heart. I remember waking up after surgery and seeing my mom crying and asking my dad if I was going to die. I never really thought that was a possibility but I just pushed it to the back of my mind so I wouldn’t think about it. But turned out dieing was a possibility but I didn’t die, but the doctor told me that I could never be on a sports team and I could never play gym. I never really took it to the heart because I was only five I told myself that it was not the end of the world. That all changed a few months later and I was 6 now and it was a nice day on October 23 2008 and I was at the park with my dad and my older brother and they started to play baseball while I watched. After watching them play for a while I wanted to play so my dad pulled out a softball and a glove and I started to play on my own. I sucked at first but after a while I was really good. I remember on the same day I asked my dad if I could play on a team but she said no because of my “limitations.” Later that day I asked my mom and she took to play on a rec center team even though I wasn’t allowed and that's how it all started. And know I have played softball ever since and my
As the second cycle began, the children had completed their clean up routines and were now gathering in a group to participate in their morning circle activities. Mrs. Eady lead the children through the days of the week, the calendar, word wall, reviewing of the classroom rules, music and movement, and a reading of the book, “The Plumply Dumply Pumpkin.” While most of the activities were teacher chosen, the children had an active role in the lessons. Each child had the opportunity to lead part of the lesson, both in reviewing the word wall and the classroom rules. Throughout the activities, children could stand up and move and openly share their thoughts. When children did share their thoughts, the teacher encouraged them to express themselves
Once upon a time there was a turkey named Moo. Moo was scared of Thanksgiving to say the least, but what turkey isn't? Moo didn't want to be on the Thanksgiving feast table, but once again, who does? Moo walked around the farm thinking of different ways to disguise herself. She thought of different animals that she could disguise herself as so that the farmer wouldn't recognize her. But nothing really came to mind. Moo continued to walk and look at all the different pens that held all of the different animals. She came across pigs but, then again some people used pigs for Thanksgiving. She continued to walk in search of the perfect animal to disguise herself as. She came across some horses but didn't think that she'd be able to pass as a horse.
Beep! Beep! Beep! I wake up to an alarm screaming in my ear. I smack the alarm to shut the yelling off. It was a January day, in the middle of the cold, brutal winter. I finally got up after sitting in bed for what felt like hours, and looked outside like I do every morning. I noticed that there was no sign of grass to be seen. All that could be seen was white, frozen blanket of thick snow. I started to get ready for the school day and I just prayed that school was going to be canceled. As soon as I was fully ready I stepped outside and my food sunk down a foot and a half below the snow! I could not believe it that school was still open. As soon as I got to my car that was completely covered in snow, my mother comes out and yells that school was closed. I felt a huge wave as release and I ran back inside and went right back to sleep.
One day i was walking in the pumpkin patch. I Could smell the donut ready to be ate in the barn it smelled delicious. It was the first Sunday of December morning when my father asked me to take some boxes to the basement, I had never been down there, as a kid I always thought it was scary, but know as a 19-year-old guy, how could I say no. I went downstairs with a couple of boxes, but could not find any place to put them. The area was a mess, so I decided that I would organize every box that was there. While I was organizing, I notice this one box hidden in the back, so, I decided to open it. Inside the box, there was a newspaper and a couple of burnt pictures. Therefore, I decided to read the article, I could not understand much, it was an 18 years old newspaper, but it talked about a burning house with two twin babies, It said that one had been saved with no harm while the other one was rescued later on with severe burn mark. It was a miracle that other baby had survived, they called him miracle Carlos, and his brother Richard. I stood there for a second before my brain processed

Today I went to the Lantern for the first time. When we arrived and signed in we were told to just go hang out in the living room area and talk to the residents that Cathy would be there around three. We got to talk with the residents and paint pumpkins. The residents are a true blessing.
It all started when I was a little girl, my mom had taught me how to cook and I was making buffalo soup, it smelled like heaven. Right as I was going to be done making the dish I heard my mom yell my name in fear, I went outside only to see a group of people from another tribe running toward the house I was confused, all of the sudden I felt someone grip my sides as it happened I looked at my mom I saw tears forming at her eyes, I finally realized she was yelling for me to hide when I heard her yell my name, I passed out.
Once when I was a kid it was an ordinary Halloween as night rose my parents went to sleep after I got lots of candy and came home. People kept knocking on the door but we weren't passing out any candy this year but there was only one person who was constantly coming back he was wearing a hockey mask with blood all over it, i couldn't tell if it was real or fake it was pretty convincing either way. I Kept telling him politely we had nothing to give I was really shy I said it bluntly without making eye contact I didn't want him to mistake it for rudeness. It was getting late anyway so I dove in my bed to drift to sleep my eyelids were heavy as I started to fall asleep I heard glass smashing in my own room that creepy hockey mask guy came through
