The Pumpkin Patch

“Class, this is our new student, Amanda Laine.” the girl’s new teacher, whose name she learned is Ms. Rybin, says to the class. She tells the green-eyed girl where to sit, so she sits. Amanda didn’t talk much the rest of the day.

A long time ago in the 1900s there was a woman named Rosemary. She loved fall and wanted some pumpkin seeds. Rosemary decided to go to the farm with her husband Norman and her sister Carrie. Every year they would go to the farm to get pumpkins. This year they were really excited because the farm got better more orange pumpkins. Carrie was in her high 50s and so was Norman. Her sister Carrie was in her high 40s.

Ray puts her through. Because he owned a peach farm, he put Lily to work at the peach stand. When Lily had taken a book to read, one of the neighbors would see her and tell T. Ray, “‘Saw your girl in the peach stand reading up a storm. You must be so proud.’ And he would half kill me” (Kidd 15).

Rhoda closed her suitcase and ran downstairs with it. She smiled at her parents and all her friends, she hugged her friends Olivia, Amelia, and Ezra. “We will miss,” Amelia said. “Yeah, just because you are going to be gone for month does not me you cannot call us,” Ezra stated. Rhoda just stared at all three of her friends, Ezra was the tallest of the bunch and sometimes they called him big foot, Olivia is very athletic and loves to have a good time, and Amelia was the most emotional person of the bunch and sometimes very hard to be around. But, as she looked at her friends she knew she would miss them very much. “Group hug,” Olivia yelled as she made that motion to hug. “Guys I will be gone for one month nothing that big,” Rhoda said after their hug. They all smiled at each other as Rhoda dad begun to speak, “I think it time for you hoodrats to leave.” “I agree with him,” Rhoda mom Pippi said. “Well goodbye Rhoda Minnesota,” Olivia said as they walked out of Rhoda’s house. “Well do you have everything?” Murray asked Rhoda. The students work on assigned classwork on the IPad. Bobby begins singing. Ms. Fizzle approaches Bobby to help him with the assignment. Ms. Frizzle walks away. Bobby stands up, and the teacher aide approaches and asks Bobby to have a seat he sits down and starts mumbling under his breath. Bobby begins staring around the classroom. Bobby looks at the IPad (class assignment) puts it away and walks to the back of the classroom and stands behind one of his classmate seats mumbling and singing to himself. Teacher Aide addresses Bobby behavior and asks him to return to the front of the class. His classmates begin snickering.

Philbert is known as a comedy guy at his school, a little school named Rocky middle school in the middle of Mississippi. All that's on Philberts mind is that it's the end of the semester and he can go home and play baseball with his brand new glove. On the way home his friends were awkwardly quiet, not the average guy that likes peace sometimes, I can't go an hour without some kind of action(unless I'm going to sleep ) so as soon as I went to go find my mom.

The teacher says,” Okay class we are going to write about our experience and seeing the Sun any questions”.

(Brainy Quote) War was and still is a serious event that is only understandable to those who have experienced it first-hand. World War l was a devastating battle that caused boundless amounts of destruction, not only to countries and cities but to human’s minds and bodies. John McCrae was a man who experienced the inescapable effects of war and the damage it caused to a person's sanity. His poem, “In Flanders Field,” is a written example of how devastating death was and the reality that demise was inevitable, effecting bystanders for the rest of their life.

Today I went to the Lantern for the first time. When we arrived and signed in we were told to just go hang out in the living room area and talk to the residents that Cathy would be there around three. We got to talk with the residents and paint pumpkins. The residents are a true blessing.

As the days go by, Rita couldn’t stop thinking about the trip. She was stressing about if she was going to get pick, and if she does, who will she pick to go with her?! She was a wreck all morning. Later her boyfriend, Bret Surge, came up to her locker before 6th hour. Justine said “Ryker, you need to listen and sit down with everyone else.” Ryker threw a salt and pepper shaker at Ms. Justine and ran around the classroom screaming. Ms. Alyssa started to read a book about insects. Ryker ran around the classroom and screamed at Ms. Justine running from her and climbing up on top of the heater. Ms. Alyssa spoke to the children and said “Friends, do you see how Ryker is behaving. What he is doing is not appropriate and we should not act like that.” Robert Thomas climbed up into my lap but, looked at Ryker. I leaned down and said “Our eyes should be on the teacher Robert Thomas.” Ryker screamed again. Manaf, Robert Thomas, Jett, and Lucas turned and looked at Ryker. Ms. Alyssa said “My friends how about I stop reading this book and read one you all know by heart called The Pigeon Needs A Bath!” Lucas, Lucy B., Lucy F.
