My Dream To Become An Electrical Engineer

Every child wants to “be something” when they grow up. A doctor, a lawyer, a veterinarian, the list continues indefinitely. Most people fixate on one particular career; even if it changes, at any given moment they have one goal. For some reason, that never happened for me. My friends and family would ask “what do you want to be when you grow up?” and I would immediately rattle off a laundry list of different things. “An inventor, a scientist, a dancer, a chef, a translator! I’m going to learn every language in existence!” was my excited reply. Apparently I was quite the ambitious child.

When I was young I never put serious thought into what I wanted to be when I grew up. I made up silly dreams like being a wrestler or a monster truck driver, but I could not see myself pursuing any of these professions. It was not until my junior year in high school that I started to think more in-depth about where I saw myself in ten years. I began to take criminal justice classes at a technical school and explored the different jobs within. Two years later I am in college and I am no longer pursuing a job in the criminal justice field.

Life is full of decisions. You have the choice to decide what you want to do for a career. Some may have jobs they wish they could change or made the decision before to have done something differently. The career you choose should be something you love, along with aspects that fit your values the best. Interest, skills, financially that you know you can excel in. A plan for life is important, so it’s best to know or have an idea on what you want to proceed in.

When I asked myself what I was I going to be when I got older, I had no answer. This made me realize that I had to make a decision and I had to make one fast. An area of study I have always been interested in is business. My dreams as a child have always been to become the President of The United States or an owner of a business. Working for a business would be intresting, but owning one would be more fulfilling. I would be able to expand my imagination by coming up with new ideas and control the company as a whole. I love designing and creating different things that make people happy, and if one day I became an owner of a company that produced products that satisfied people, that would make me happy. Everyone must make a decision for what they want to do or accomplish in their life. As I stand now, I have no set plan for my future. I am not sure what I want do, but I do have a few ideas. My ideas are to possibly enroll in the Air Force Academy, enlist in the Navy so I can sign up for the Nuclear Propulsion Officer Candidate Program (NUPOC), or simply go to college somewhere.

The career I choose to become when I’m older is a pediatrician. I choose this career because when I was in the second grade our teacher was teaching a lesson on what you want to be when you 're older. I had no clue but I always wanted to help someone or something in needed like for example a vet or doctor.

A lot of people ask what you want to be when you grow up. I know that question is the most important decision you will make in your life. My parents say to stay in school and try to get good grades so you can get into a good college because I want to be a vet technician. I used want to be a professional dancer or a dance teacher. Then it would be like hair stylist, a doctor, lawyer, house designer, or fashion designer. I would personally love to be a fashion designer but it's a very difficult career to get somewhere. You have to be very god and get noticed by someone famous, if you get noticed by someone famous then you most likely made it but it's very difficult to get there. Another career i am interested in is a lawyer. But in order to be a lawyer you have to be ready to speak in front of a lot of people and be comfortable and confident with it. I get stage fright so i'm not sure being a lawyer is right for me. But on the other hand i argue very well. I believe you should do a career that you love and enjoy because if you don't and you don't enjoy your career your just gonna be miserable. Ever since elementary, we have been asked the question “What do you want to be when you grow up?” The question stayed the same throughout junior high and high school but the answers are constantly changing, at least they are in my case. I was that typical child, the one who dreamed of exploring space and all of its mysteries. However after trying to say quantum physics like a NASA scientist I soon decided that my exploration of that particular career came to a close. Around 7th grade, I was enrolled in a United States history class and enjoyed the studies of American politics and heritage. Every child gets asked what they want to be when they grow up. Some say they want to be astronauts and others say princesses. I would always say I wanted to become a doctor. As I grew older, I had never changed my mind. I hope to someday become a non-invasive Cardiologist. I chose this career because heart disease has become more of a concern in the past few years. When I am older, just like most people, I want to have a great job. Getting a good job is a hard thing to get nowadays. You always have to be on your toes, studying and thinking about your future. I want to be a Marine Biologist when I am older which mean I have to get into a good school and take a lot of good classes.

Growing up we all have dream jobs that often change as we become older. For me, that dream job has not changed. My dream job is to become an artist. When I was younger I did not know what kind of artist I desired to be. I just knew I wanted to do something in the world of art. Over the years, my dream has become more evolved. As of now my dream job is to be a Graphic Designer. Everyone has dreams or goals. Some people reach them before others it just takes time. There is no set time limit to reach your goals. We can make our dreams a reality if we try. During a T-ball game, I was on the pitcher’s mound. From that moment I knew that I wanted to learn how to pitch. When I moved onto softball I was able to make that dream a reality. My coach taught me how to pitch and I have been pitching ever since. It took many hours of practice and dedication to be where I am now, but it was worth it. Everyone should follow their dreams and not let others tell them otherwise. Every human being has their own career aspirations. I also put one dream that I want to realize since being in school is to become a mechatronic engineer because of my deep interest in technical fields such as electrical and mechanical. Although, mechatronics engineer is not an easy career to achieve because have many obstacles and challenges to be met but I am sure that I am able to make full preparations for the realization of my dreams as a mechatronic engineer.
