Chapter 3, Problem 2DQ
Summary Introduction
Interpretation:Explain why a product with the same quality of design is likely to have varying success rates in different countries.
Concept Introduction:Quality of design pertains to the designed characteristics/parameters which the customer/s REQUIRE (as against expect) in the product. Every product has a wide range of customers expecting a wide range of features and characteristics. It is never possible to cover the entire range of the customers with only one (or even a few) product models. The range of expectations are broken up in different layers/segments and products are designed to cover such segments as appear to be profitable.
