Concept Introduction:

A product and a service are inherently different and so are the processes of designing and monitoring each of these. While a product has a tangible output with mostly tangible inputs, a service is, to a major extent intangible provided through many intangible inputs. The delivery of a service, many times along with its production (provision) further adds to the differences of the two.
